Default Help so much work needed so mayny questions

Okay so I bought a 2003 fx4 lvl 2 from a guy off Craigslist this past weekend and it needs a lot or work. The front of the engin is leaking oil(think I got that figured) the Raidator is leaking (new one in the mail) the tires are all chopped to hell (all 4 already got replacements waition) it has a key switch and block lift on it I'm guessing 3" because it has 33x10.50x15 on it and they do not run at all. It's a manual with the red interior.

I'm looking to replace the front end parts that are causing the excessive tire wear for starters.... I plan on tie rods(inner and outer) upper controls arms ( I don't know where to get a robust, better then stick) replacement
4 shocks I'm looking at the blistein 4b 4600 series I think they will fit with the lift situation????(someone please advise?)

I would like to do the roof consol mod as well can't seem to find any info on what year explorer I need to pull from also thinking about converting the over head consol to run the heat controls and put a cab where they are currently( some of the explorers have the knobs already would just be a matter of wiering...question here is has it been don???) as far as aftermarket lights is the alternator in these trucks robust enough to run say 4-7 rock lights (led) 2 fog light(led ordered) and a few light bars in front and a set of pods off the back????

Currently the truck has a k&n air filter I would like to ditch and go with a snorkel... is there kits to be purchased or just diy with plumbing supply's?

Curious if anyone has done a rear disc break conversion if so is it worth the effort?

Being that it's lifter are Moog stock parts okay for (tie rods ball joints sway bar ends?

The E-break like doesn't seem to go off even when the break is released??? (Maybe a sensor?)

Looking around online I couldn't find a decent pair of headlights that weren't $250 for a black background (not tinted lenses) any recommendations of a brand you guys like?

Is there an aftermarket lower control arm I would be batter off with?

Are the 4:10 rear gear trucks super low all the time or could the transmission possibly be stuck in "low" even thought it's a floor shifted 4x4?

Does the passenger side controls arm replacement have to be a 2peice?

If I put a body lift on the truck will I have issues with the drive shaft???

Is there anything other then this list I should look out or i.e. Devlopeing symptoms or things that should be replaced before they break that are outside of the normal scope of regular maintenance??

Thank you soooo much for your help iv always had great luck with everyone on here!!!

Well.....uh

Nice truck choice!

Moog upper arms and ball joints from a local parts house are your best bet. Not sure about roof mod or snorkel. I swapped in an explorer 8.8 which has disc brakes and locking carrier, just have to flip spring pads and shock mounts. Those headlights can be found on eBay for less than $100, search "crystal black" for '06+. 4.10 is what I run and it's perfect for my 32's but it's not that low. You'd know if it was stuck in 4x4 low, trust me! Pass side is a 2-piece and much, much easier to replace than the one piece. Driveline doesn't change with a BL. It's a ranger, you'll always have something to fix.

Wellllllll......the model year in the siggy doesn't agree with the vehicle description in the post and there's a super tanker load of questions crammed into one post (me quit reading after seeing so many ? ? ? marks) which starts to give a guy a headache. Here's a suggestion, focus on a few important things at a time rather than jump all over the place, prioritize items that make the vehicle safe and reliable, and when that's done, move on to mods. With this in mind, steering and brakes should always be #1 on anyones list.
