Default Suspension upgrade

My suspension is a little rough. Looking for a reasonably cost efficient way to smooth it out. If there are any products or kits that you would recommend, that'd be great.

Make sure everything that's there is good. Ball joints, tie rods, shocks, bushings etc.

Not sure this is the answer you want, but for rangers the only way I've found to make it a smooth ride is to unhitch one of the sway bar links.

Technically it's dangerous but it seemed fine when I tried it. And it was like driving a Cadillac after!

I personally didn't notice a difference removing my sway bar but some say it helps, bilstein shocks helped mine the most

Interesting- and actually I might give those a shot in the spring. On really bad roads I found the sway bar link, removed, to be miraculous. But it's not a long term solution since I wasn't totally willing to take on that added risk forever

I know this thread is ancient, but if youre still around did you ever come up with a solution? Ive thought about trying to find a similar but longer sway bar linkage.

The billistein shocks were a great improvement, and feel especially better (safer) on the highway.

I switched my 06 to moog everything for the front end, along with new bilsteins & the ride smoothed out quite a bit.

The best way to improve the ride on a pickup truck is to buy a full size car. The OP most likely has sold the truck and bought something else.
