Superlift with coilover
Hey everyone, I have found someone on craigslist near me selling a coilover setup with superlift, the person is asking $2,000 is this to much for a used setup, sounds like it's pretty close to what I can put together a new setup for minus the time to build the brackets. Please let me know if this seems fair or is a bit to high before I go spending too much money.
Thanks

Used superlifts usually go $500-$1,000 on their own.
I would say even a high used price with coilovers would be $1,500ish. Does it come with the superlift front driveshaft?

The lift is a couple years old, powder coated and comes with front drive shaft. Newer fox 2.0 shocks and #800 Springs

He is probably a little high, but demand will tell him what the true number is. So you either give him an offer or wait it out to let him lower it.

Seems close, I sold my super lift for 800 and my remote res coilovers with brackets for 800, so 1600 total, if he is including the drive shaft, I would offer 1800 or so.
That said I bought my DBR long travel kit for 2400 they are just rate to find used

Re: Superlift with coilover
The seller is close enough I will be picking them up myself so I can look ato it and verify everything is there and what condition it is in. Just a 2 hour drive and he still has to take it off so I'm not going to make the drive till it's off of his truck

Doesn't seem too awful. Brand new that setup would run you at least 3 grand.
I paid 800 for my used superlift and another 4 for the drive shaft.
If he's asking 2,000, I bet waving 15 or 1700 in his face would buy it.

This. Yeah I just priced it all and for everything you are getting and if you were to get it new it would easily be $3K or a little more. I'd just be definitely sure that since you are driving there that you get ALL the parts from the lift and coilover set up. (Personal experience).
This site breaks down the cost of coilover conversion (albeit a little old but still everything you'd need) and the prices are accurate give a take a bit-
http://www.pierreseguin.ca/2014/05/r...-and-planning/
+/- 1400 for superlift and $400-450 for driveshaft. Go ahead and stop and get the other parts to perform the maintenance on your front end if you need to- easier since you have it apart!

Re: Superlift with coilover
Yeah Mikerider that is the one, going up on Thursday to pick it up. Not sure if he will have it off of his truck till wednesday.

Would be helpful havin an extra set of eyes on it especially from someone who has already had that setup.

Re: Superlift with coilover
Does anyone have a recommendation for a rear lift other than blocks? Taller Springs? AAL and shackles? I have heard that the lift blocks cause horrible axle wrap and don't want that. As a tend to haul a lot with my truck when not in the woods

New leaf springs.
'budget set' (if looking at new) would be the Skyjacker versions FR34S (4") or FR36S (6").
