Also thinking about getting a strong steel tube that I can use to lengthen the shift by an inch or so that way I keep the oem retainers where they are.

That would change your plunge and max angle, may cause binding and breakage.

Here's what I used for a spacer on my superlifted truck to try and save my CVs. Just 2 large washers from the hardware store that I drilled out to fit the CV stub shaft.

Not pretty but they did the job.

The RCD spacers are nicer pieces of machine work but like I said this did the same thing.

The spacers are not worth the postage lol but you can have them if you want to pay shipping.

Talking Re: Superlift with coilover

My issue would be that I have manual hubs so I don't have the nut there holding the axle in place. I would have to machine down the splines so the retainer clip that hold the shafts into the hub actually engages.
I don't see how adding length to the shafts would be any different than having a custom cv axle made. Pretty sure that's how they would make the needed length but I could be wrong. If the hub is extended away from the axle adding length the the axle shafts would be the proper way of fixing the problem if I'm thinking about it properly.
I have had a few drinks tonight tho haha
