Where did you hear that? do they have proof or did they hear it from someone else heard it from someone else? I too had this dilemma when when I put my lift on, but could never find any hard facts about blocks flying out or axle wrap. Do this, next time you a see a big boy f150 or silverado 4 door quad cab with a 6" lift and 35's, take a look at the rear. I can pretty much guarantee that you will see a 5 or 6 inch lift block stacked on top of their 2 inch factory bump stop. If those trucks do just fine with them, then im sure our wimpy little rangers will be just fine.

Lift blocks are fine in moderation.
Stacking a 3" block on top of the stock 2.5" is NOT a good plan. (This is what superlift has you do). It will "work", but is sketchy as hell.
Lift springs, shackles, AAL, etc. are all better options.

^^ That is the key part.
All sorts of things might be 'ok' to utilize...but at the end of the day - there is a true superior option (new lift springs).

Re: Superlift with coilover
Lift springs or lift blocks will still allow for axle wrap. The best solution to solve axle wrap is a set of drag bars...traction bars
Even stock axles still deal with axle wrap

Correct..however when the springs are spaced further from the axle tube...the amount of the axle wrap is increased. The effects that can be seen and felt is increased (larger fulcrum, pivot point etc.).

But wouldn't the taller Springs technically mean the axle tube is further away from where the Springs mount. So more axle wrap with the springs
Taller springs means longer Springs. Bigger fulcrum

Rotational torque is "generated" at the axle tube though.
----------
Plus, you're comparing stock spring to lifted spring...we are comparing lifted via spring, versus lifted via block.

^ is 100% accurate as well.
You basically want to eliminate your pinion angle from changing upon acceleration.

Good point. I see what you mean by fulcrum now

Lol. Axle wrap is real and is happening in all those situations.

Bottom line is do what u think is right. I'm not getting into an argument here. Every time you lift and alter your truck, it has consequences. You do a shackle lift (one which was never designed to lift a ranger in the first place) will get your angles different. You do AAL, everyone says your ride will suck. You do a block, and your block will slip out and cause mass destruction. It comes down to whatever you think is the right way to go. Either way, a lifted ranger is gonna ride like someone is kicking you in the ass every time you go over a pothole.

Re: Superlift with coilover
I agree with the above statement, if you use those methods to lift
I will also add that you may need to adjust your driving style to take it easy on a suspension that your truck was not ever meant to have.
In other words if you want to go hard all the time(fast, see previously posted video), with any lifted suspension you are going to want traction bars.
If you just want the look and are broke to the point that you can't repair shit that you are going to break, drive like a grandpa and be happy that you look "cool"

Negative. A properly lifted truck including a ranger can be a smoother ride than stock.
Blocks, AAL and shackles are not a proper lift. It is just what is cheap and easy.

Not quite. A proper lift will ride just as well as a stock truck. There may be a little more body roll, but that's a center of gravity thing. My truck rode like ass stock. It rides just as bad lifted, but not any worse.
My biggest issue with large/stacked lift blocks isn't that they will fall out completely. They are unstable and allow the axle move around more than you would like (side to side, axle wrap, etc)

Re: Superlift with coilover
Well I picked up the lift today and I think I lucked out, I didn't look close at the pictures I was sent and it turns out that I just scored a 5" RCD lift instead of the superlift I was expecting!
