Lift kit
Anyone know of a decent lift kit for my ranger that is too expensive. I have a 2003 4.0 xlt and anything I find is ridiculous. Any ideas or even a junkyard build?

Re: Lift kit
ridiculous in what way? looks? price? performance? Your post is ridiculous since it gives no description on what you are looking that is not ridiculous to you. Gotta pay to play.

This^. (You didn't say in your post, but judging by your pictures, it looks like you're 4wd)
Sometimes you get lucky and you'll see a suspension lift pop up on Craigslist. That's how I got mine.

Yes it is 4wd. And sorry for not being so in depth with my post. Was on break at work and didn't have time to get in depth. Yea I'm looking to do a suspension lift. Nothing too big though. I've looked around but haven't had much to chose from that's why I was seeing if anyone else had any ideas.

If you want a suspension lift your only option is the one made by Superlift.

This^. Lifting a 1998 or newer 4wd ranger is neither a cheap nor easy task.
You can get an inch or two out of your torsion bars, but outside of that your only options are the super lift or a body lift.
STAY AWAY FROM AFTERMARKET TORSION KEYS. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Re: Lift kit
Any reason you are set on a suspension lift? Tons of folks run a 3" body lift (off road and on) with zero issues.

I was just told suspension was the better way to go. Everyone I know has them. But hey if a body lift is just as good I might just do that.

"Better" is more of an opinion in this case.
Most of the time, The goal of a lift is to clear larger tires and make you sit higher in the drivers seat. A body lift takes care of both of these just fine.
