I never said the either kit was wrong or right. I told ( no suggested )the OP to get the kit that was intended for his truck.
Again where was all this activity when the OP needed it ( before he ordered his kit )

Why not provide some useful information to the OP instead of the BS.
You could give him tips and tricks that may be useful on the installation, like how he should make sure to lock his steering column
and mark the steering shaft sections to keep the steering wheel straight and avoid wrecking the clock spring.
Or other tips on how to properly lift the cab and bed with out damaging either.
Try a little positive advice instead of this nasty negative crap you man babies like to stir up.

Dang everybody, all is well. I was gonna get the other kit regardless, but yes advice like that would be great to know. I've got a friend and his friend helping me with it this weekend, and he's put a body lift on a truck before so I guess he'll know more than me, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Such as, locking the steering and how, and any other safety issues, things to look for, things to do before hand.. Ect.

I would say, it is a good idea to download the instructions for the body lift kit while your waiting for the parts to arrive.
Read the instructions a few times, so you get a better understanding of what is involved.
Consider anything that is effected by the lift and or installation.
An example of what I mean by this is the kit will come with a steering linkage extension you will need to install. this means you will be collapsing the intermediate shaft and re extending it.
This is a good time before you start the install of the lift to inspect the rag joint and universal joints. If any of the parts look questionable find replacements.
The angle will change on the intermediate shaft u joints putting more strain on these potentially worn parts.
Since your going to have the intermediate shaft disconnected it is a good time to go ahead and replace it or rebuild it if needed.
At very least it should be removed from the truck cleaned up and the telescopic part of the shaft should be cleaned and lubricated so it can collapse and extend without getting stuck.
It is common for this shaft to get stuck in the collapsed position if you do no prep work to it. a little maintenance on this part can save you from tearing the likely dry rotted or oil soaked rag joint.
I bring this up because a FRF member found out his rag joint was torn in a few spots
after he had his truck apart. his rag joint may have torn because of hammering the rag joint trying to get it to expand again.
He was having a hard time finding the correct replacement parts. find your replacement parts before they are needed. ( just in case )
Either way if yours is original plan on doing something about it before you have steering issues driving down the road.

The instructions seem to be clear and easy to understand , make sure to read them like mentioned earlier and pay attention to what tools they show you need.
The Torx bit T55 will get a work out make sure you have more than one and they should be from a quality tool manufacture.
The instructions tell you to jack up the bed and cab yet do not offer suggestions to what type of jack to use or blockage.
I suggest using a bottle jack and making wood support structure to set the jack on, shim as necessary with other wood pieces.
just do not get tempted to stick a piece of 2x4 upright on a floor jack to save time.
Hopefully some non disgruntle people will chime in with other useful ideas.

You obviously don't know what the fuck you're talking about, and obviously can't read. I mentioned that I am running the Performance Accessories kit, which isn't the cheap kit. I bought the more expensive kit, that was intended for my truck, and guess what? I still had to make a run to the hardware store.
Before you put your fingers on the keyboard, make sure you know what you're talking about. It's shit fucks like you spreading incorrect information that make it hard for people to find answers to their issues. Because of your post stating that the cheaper kit was not intended for 98+ trucks, you raised doubt as to whether or not that kit will work, when it has been proven to work just like the expensive kit time and time again. So you actually didn't help him, you made things more confusing than they needed to be. GTFO.

Looks good! So many people skip that step, but it makes a huge difference in the appearance.
When it comes to those rear bumper brackets, leave every bolt on the bumper loose until you attach the bumper brackets to the truck. If you tighten everything beforehand, it makes it really hard to install the rear bumper.

I HAD to paint them lol and Thanks for the tip man. I have the SOHC 4.0, have you heard about the A/C line getting sliced in 2 by the belt if it's not properly positioned after the lift?

Yes. Definitely use the supplied bracket to relocate it.
Even on the 3.0, the A/C line rubs against a stud on the bracket for the alternator. I had to make something to keep the A/C line away from that stud.

If you cannot offer one shred of help to the OP, stop trolling on the OPs thread.
This is not a place to vent your frustrations out at someone willing to try and help.
I specifically told the OP he had a nice truck one that is worth buying the correct kit.
What in has gone so horribly wrong in your life to cause you to go ape shit over what I said to the OP?
Is saving the OP a few bucks on a kit that is not listed to be compatible with his truck really worth all this negative crap your spewing?
I did not say one thing about you, your truck or ability, if you somehow took something I said and twisted it to the point where you felt the need to lash out at me that is your problem and could have been handled as a PM.

My whole problem with you initially was that small statement I highlighted in your quote. If you don't know what you're talking about, keep it to yourself. You aren't helping somebody if you're answering a question on a topic you have no experience with. Are you planning on doing the lift by yourself, or with friends? Depending on rust, you may struggle with the cab bolts. My truck is rust free, but I still struggled with the cab bolts because Ford uses Loctite to keep them from vibrating loose, and that makes them difficult to remove.
Some guys have success with having a friend crawl under the truck and hold the metal plate under the bushing with a pair of channel locks while they crank on the bolts from above. I did my body lift by myself, so I had to resort to heating the bushings up with a propane torch in order to melt the Loctite and get the bolts out. Once they were hot I was able to just spin the bolts right out with an electric impact.
