I'm pretty sure my last few hangups are.....
1. I dont know how to get the front shocks bolted up top...previously noted in thread...
2. Torque specs across the board... anyone know of a link or previously existing thread?

I'm not sure about the shocks, hopefully someone with Bilstiens will chime in

As far as torque specs, a manual is gonna be your best bet (or some one with a manual). I'll be the first to say that I'm very bad at following torque specs. I believe the caliper bracket and caliper bolts are 25 ft/lbs, the upper ball joint pinch bolt is 45 (?), I didn't use a torque wrench on my tie rod or lower ball joint castle nuts, just got them "good en tight" with a breaker bar.

I think the upper is 35 or 45. Something like that. Also just a tip, be sure you used the bolt that comes with the lift spindles. The hole is slightly different on the lift spindles and the upper ball joint can slip out of you use the smaller diameter bolt from the stockers.

Shock, I used an impact with a socket. Zips right on. Unless you find a way to get a c-clamp or vise grips around the shaft of the shock.

Ya its a nylock nut... cant get it past the nylon due to the spinning... comes right back off easy enough.... cant seem to find any google help either.... I could possibly vice grip or smallish c-clamp, im just concerned I would foul the threads... would have to pinch below bolt first to get past that nylock, then pinch top.... gotta ba an easier way..... any possibility it needs to be "loaded" re; the truck on the ground, for the bolt to lock up maybe?

The top stud of the shock should have a Allen head. Use a Allen wrench to hold the stud while you tighten the nut.

Followed bearing install instructions exactly. Seems tight but then again I dunno sheet about bearings. At torque specs stated rotor spins and has no play, but stops relatively quickly. There's a few vids i've watched and they seemed to spin longer and smoother, where mine comes to a stop almost immediately. I just want it done right. Doesnt seem right? Thoughts.....

It should spin freely until there is no play in the rotor.

Do this

You tighten the nut, then loosen it a 1/4 turn. Spin the rotor or do it this way (makes it easy if you put a stock size spare tire on it, just snug up like 3 lug nuts). Spin it and then tighten the nut up to where the tire stops spinning.

Back off 1/4 turn. Check for play. Repeat until no play is found. Dont leave the nut that tight to where the tire doesn't freely spin. Everytime you tighten it to where the tire stops back it off 1/8 to 1/4 turn.
