Default Body lift or suspension lift?

I I have been wanting to lift my truck for some time now. I just need more knowledge on the difference between the two it's apparent the difference but I'm talking the price difference, install difficulties, ect. I have a 2000 Xlt that is 2wd. I'm leaning towards the body lift but I wanna hear more from experience between both! And links to some good ones. I don't plan on going more than 3 inches. Currently I have 30's on my truck. Thanks for the help everyone. I can post pics of my truck if requested.

Imo..... For a 2wd I'd just go body lift. Easier to install from what I hear, cheaper, and I'm sure a lot more practical if you're just wanting the bigger tires and the look.

Holy shit really dude..? 2WD Rangers are CAKE to install lifts.

Buy these, they say 4 inch lift but it comes out to like 3.5. http://m.ebay.com/itm/381036960333?nav=SEARCH

Here's how to install them How To: 3" Doetsch Spindle Install

New shocks are not required, and replacing your ball joints if they're worn is advised.

Here's my truck with spindles, lift coils and 31" BF Goodrich A-T

97 and older yes. 98 and up spindles are the best option.

Since his truck is a 2000, if he goes with spindles for a 01+ truck he will need rotors from a 01+ truck. There is a small size difference.

Holy shit, dude, yeah. Both trucks I've owned have been 2nd gens, and my comment was stated based on my experience. I don't know jack about 3rd gens. Just looked up y'all's suspension, didn't realize how easy you third gens have it lol. Your truck looks good man

Yeah haha I was like, wait..

I really appreciate that man, thanks!
Essentially if you're good with a wrench then ANY lift would be easy to install, just the amount of things that have to be torn apart on a 98+ is minimal, and most would agree it's "simple"

yes. you'll need lift shackles and a block to lift the rear equally

If he's lucky, mine didn't get lifted for shit.
I have a supposed "6 inch lift" and it didn't give me that much.

My front is like 2-3 inches higher than the back, so it's up to you, you may get more or less than that. Hell if you want my shackles, $40 shipped.

I to have been contemplating which lift to use on my 2011 2WD and after quite a bit of reading and sometimes even more confusion seems to me the spindle lift though more expensive is the way to go. I have a question. If you go with the suspension lift will you have to go to a larger wheel size (15 to a 16") to clear anything say like the upper ball joint.

Suspension lift by a long shot. If you have any specific questions, give me a PM.
