I abused the heck out of them at Windrock, TN this past weekend. IMO they are the best bang for the buck when lifting a 2wd 98+ ranger. Note: 98-00 trucks will need to swap to 01+ rotors for these to work.

I just got the spindle itself and it was only $289. Pretty good.
How much wider is your track width?

Somewhere between 1.5"-2" on each side in the front. Currently running 1.5" spacers in the back to compensate.

Holy crap! I thought it was like 0.5" per side. That's awesome.

Steve, how long is installation for a guy who's good with a wrench?
I have a small window to do it..
Get out of class at 10:30 and get ready for work at 2.

Have you seen the how-to yet? How To: 3" Doetsch Spindle Install

I did my ball joints and tie rod ends at the same time so it took a little longer. Actually it took me a week because I chose the wrong cup size included with the ball joint press and ended up squishing the one on my passenger side lower A arm to the point where the threads on the ball joint press were breaking. Yeah, it was that bad. To get it out I bought a torsion bar unloading tool and ended up removing the lower arms completely, then used a 20 ton press to get the ball joint out. You do not have much of a window with 3 1/2 hours, including some time driving back and forth. I would recommend waiting until you have an afternoon free and allow at least 2 hours per side. Nothing wrong with taking your time. I also recommend that you consider replacing your ball joints while you are installing the spindles. This of course is not required and yours might be in good shape but since you have to tear the truck down that far anyway it couldn't hurt.

Note: I did not trim my A arm as my turning radius was fine. The turning stops were ground off because at full lock they hit the brake caliper resulting in a complete loss of brake pressure. Straightening the wheel and pumping the pedal got it back but man was it scary the first time it happened. Results seem to vary on what you need to trim and why.

Yeah I have the link saved. I can do the whole installation by myself without the how-to. I just need a visual on where to cut.

Other than that, my lower joints are in really good shape. The factory rubber boots are still intact and the joint is pretty stiff after 150,000 miles.

----------

But yeah that sounds like quite a PITA. I originally was installing spindles but I only found out they were for a Ranger edge after my girl's dad busted my upper ball joint trying to press it out.

I had the spindles all installed and ready to go, but the upper bolt hole is slightly larger on the edge models. Bearings as well. He says "yeah we can press that joint out and press a bigger one in"

No. You can't. Not even 30 tons on the upper joints.

So I went back to factory spindles and got some old rusted upper arms from a JY until I got the money for new arms. Keep in mind I was very uneducated on it.

Since then I put spacers in myself, then out lift could in myself, and now I'm onto bigger better things spindles

So after breaking the suspension down that far 3 times since November it should be cake this time around. On the paper I got from WNP it says to bend the hard lines down a little bit, how were yours?

That is interesting because mine came with no paperwork whatsoever. The brake lines do stretch a little bit but I have not had any problems after the steering stops were removed.

Yeah they left a slip in the box on "complete instructions"
I thought it was interesting. They recommended grinding 1/4 inch off the front of the arms and the steering stops.
In the how-to IIRC he just made a notch in the arm which should be just fine.

Also I have an extra 2" coils on top of the spindles so I'm afraid my lines won't reach.
