add a leaf kits
I already installed a procomp short leaf add a leaf and it got me about 2-2.5" of lift I was lookin at getting a long style add a leaf too and dumping the factory 2" blocks. That would give me all leaf in the back and around a 4"-5" taller leaf plus some more load handling when towing.
Now the question I have is if I order an f150 2.5" wide long style add a leaf is it going to be to long for the ranger? I found a kit on ebay its by procomp and is designed for an f150/f250.
http://m.ebay.com/Pages/ViewItem.asp...263432&emvcc=0
There is a link to the kit I think I'm on my phone so could be wrong.

Re: add a leaf kits
can you get me a link to those pro comp short leaf AAL's cuz i think im going to do that to my truck. that AAL and the 6400 shackles so i can get like 2 inch lift and eliminate factory blocks. then i'll crank the bars two inches and get two inches of lift without blocks int he back.
my question (not to hijake the thread or anything...) is i've got the James Duff traction bars too and if i eliminate the blocks am i gonna need new u bolts and will the traction bars still be able to be on there?

I don't think there's 4 inch AAL out there. You can do a V8 explorer leaf swap and get 3"

I was just on another thread the other day about the same thing. I believe he said it has to be a 4-Door, V8 explorer because the 2-door has different leafs I think. And the V8 is a bit stiffer so it'll give you a good 3" from what the guy said.
As far as the years, I don't think it matters. All Rangers from 83-11 have the same leafs so It should be the same for the explorer.

You guys are so lucky. I think I have the only US ranger in the UK so you can guess add on's and spare parts are a real problem.
