Default Looking for a 2"-4" lift, help

Im new to all of this so i need some help.

I just got a 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6. 2wd.

I want to put a 2-4 inch lift on it, or body lift.

I want to go for more of a prerunner look also...

Any help of a specific lift, or what everyone thinks?

Thanks

if all you want is a 2-4 inch lift you can do a 2' coil cpacer or you can get f-150 or bronco coils and they will give you about a 2-3 inch lift. but if you want a "prerunner" look then you need to get some 5.5' lift coils and some drop brackets.

I have been looking to lift my 1995 ranger so your saying all you would have to do is to get f150 or bronco coils and replace mine? would there have to be any other mods to accomidate the new coils.

depends on how much of a lift you get. if its just a few inches then you can adjust your camber but if you go taller the you will need to get drop brackets and extended brake lines. A body lift will work for bigger tires but it wont handle good offroad and you will feel the body flexing. Just my opinion if you want a lift and plan on going offroad do a coil lift.
