Question Lifting my truck, should I?

I have a 93 4x2 Ford Ranger XL (Single Cab) V6 3.0 it's relative old, no telling how many miles, I recently put new heads on it. Anyways, I am looking to get it lifted, my bet is the 4" body lift from rough country, however I do not know where to get it installed. Also, to add the mix, I leave for basic late next month. Thanks guys.

yea seems like waiting would be the easiest thing. Also, where did you find a 4in body lift? or do ya mean a 3in body or 4in suspension lift?

Rough country doesn't sell body lifts. It's a 4 inch suspension lift and this is what it will look like installed. I have there kit on my truck.

1st pic is lift, 2nd pic no lift. Same wheels and tires in both pics.

I think so. I love it. But I'm never getting rid of my truck. The tires on it are 31s but I'm going with 33s.

I bought the lift kit, should have it installed Wednesday, I have 15" rims on the truck, can big tires fit on 15's? If so where can I find a cheap/decent set?

seriously?
Any tire designated for a 15" rim will fit on a 15" rim provided its wide enough. With a stock rim its going to be either a 15x6 or 15x7. Biggest you should put on a 15x7 is a 11.5" wide tire.

If factory wheels 31x10.50x15 is the biggest I would go. Aftermarket wheels you can fit 33x12.05 depending on backspacing

Yeah you can get 32s. If you do 33s you should regear

Most likely you should regear either way
