6" Lift-Possible Driveshaft issues?
2005 Ranger Edge 2wd
I bought a lift kit on Ebay that includes spindles and torsion keys for the front. And 4" blocks for the back. Also, came with shocks too. The company I ordered it from "Lift USA" says it is about 6" total in the front.(not installed yet)
I told my friend's dad about it(his dad is a professor at an automotive technical school) and he insisted that my driveshaft would no longer be aligned properly and that I may get a bad vibration, or it may pop out in a worse case scenario.
After hearing this I called up Lift USA and asked them about it and I was repeatedly assured that there wouldn't be any problems and the kit was perfect, no other parts needed and would work well with everything it provided.
However, I am not convinced. I don't want to install it unless I know for sure. Since, it is my dd and I need to order all parts before I do it to complete it in a day. Sorry for the length of this but i'm awful confused since I have different "expert" opposing opinions. Thanks for any advice/experience/help, it is much appreciated.
