Default Undecided on lifting

So I'm still deciding whether to lift my truck and what kind of lift I should get. What do you guys suggest? Should I do a body lift or suspension lift? How much do both cost and what kind of other work will I have to do? I do want to get bigger all terrain tires with the lift but I'm not sure on what size will look good. I heard about those 3 inch lifts and thats all I want to lift it no more than 3 inches.

I would go spindles up front and shackles in the back. Just preference. Plus easier to install.

x2.

Spindles cost about $350 - $400. Shackle costs about $50.

Tire size: 33x12.50

Thanks for the advice guys. My budget is around $1,000 and I was thinking of buying the biggest all terrain tires my ranger will fit without lifting. I'm still thinking about that.

Do it (yes I'm a hypocrite lol)! $400 or so for the lift. Then hitup craigslist for some slightly used 33" tires, and you're set.

Also, don't forget... you can sell your current setup, so that could give you an extra few hundred to put into it.

Would my stock wheels look good with the all terrain tires? I love those wheels and I was thinking of getting rims but I decided to stay with the stock wheels?

Yeah I'm going to try to keep them because I really like them and it adds style to the ranger.

So the 33's will fit the stock wheels? Also what is the biggest tire size my truck will fit without lifting?

yea as long as its a 16 inch rim itll fit unless its like 16x10 but the stock wheels are 16x7 so theyll fit..id go with the 265's cuz you can fit them with with little t-bar crank and they also dont look half bad with a body lift so all in all go with the 265's..now just gotta look for an all terrain tire. my pic goes towards some goodyear duratrecs but thats up to you!

Cool thanks for the info. I may be going with 265/70/16 tires as I may not be able to do the lift as I planned. I might be able to do a 3 inch body lift but I'm still looking to see if I'll have enough money for that.
