Default Body lift still able to tow?

Ay guys got a quick question. If i were to get a body lift i can still use my tow hitch rite? Like the aftermarket heavier duty one below the bumper, not the one built into the bumper.

Yea

Remeber a body lift is just that. It lifts the body off the frame. Since a hitch is mounted to the frame, it will have no effect on oyur towing So feel free to tow what ever you want

yes your tow hitch is perfectly fine. your bumper with the new brackets is just for looks it cant not tow or doesnt hold up to well in an impact either

If you have a factory hitch and you body lift it will then hang lower due to the lift.

So you cut the mounts off then lower them down you need to bolt it back together but you must weld it also for it to be strong enough

Before modding the hitch after lift

After cutting bolting and welding

Ya it will function the same way just look like crap hanging down so low

You could probably get a muffler shop to weld it up for cheap. Just have to weld the seams up just 4 beads total.

Just be sure to cut it right so you can then bolt it back together and then weld it.

I got pictures of mine when I cut it I can post up later

I highly doubt a place that welds it would also cut it.
