Re: Need some help guys i am in a predicament with my belltech shackles
Are hangers what the shackle goes onto? I am getting a new one for the side with the picture (it has a hole rusted through it) I just noticed it and i am going to ford tomorrow to get one but didn't know the name. The driver's side was already replaced.

Anyway....you need to undo the top bolt of each side. this will allow both sides to drop down, and you'll be able to remove that bottom shackle bolt. OR....remove your hitch.

Yes, it's a spring hanger, that is what Shane is talking about. And I'd spend some time cleaning up the frame on that thing too. Little time removing rust and painting that frame will make sure that truck lasts you many more years to come.

Re: Need some help guys i am in a predicament with my belltech shackles
Yeah, just "simply remove the front bolt from the leaf spring". LMAO! Like, "simply remove the shackle bolt" was such a great idea in the first place.
I was thnking you could put a bottle jack above the leaf and agains the frame, then jack it DOWN enough to remove the bolt. Hell this is my first day on the forum and I'm not even a motor head.
