Question 2010 2WD Lift?'s

OK I've read and searched and can not find a definitive answer...I have a new 2010 Ranger Reg Cab XLT and can't find how to lift this thing? I don't have torsion bars so that's out and I do have rear disc brakes so I don't want go crazy high on the rear. This will by no means be an off road vehicle except for hauling my dirt bike down some mild dirt roads. Mostly just going for the "look". Would like to compliment it with some nice wheels running 31's. Mostly in my search I've come across 3 ways of doing this: Spindles (expensive); Coils (cheaper); and Coil Spacers (cheapest)...none of which seem to be made for my year truck! I would like to do something pretty cheap like coils and raise my truck maybe 1.5-2.5 in. depending on what's out there? I can't find anything??? I've searched numerous forums and googled everything I could think of. Nothing seems to come up for 2010 Rangers? There is a million things for older Rangers but nothing for newer? Can someone please steer me in the right direction please. A web site or an ebay link or anything that references or sells stuff to lift my truck a little bit. Thanks in advance.

Body lift... you can buy a 3" one where 3" pucks are placed between the frame and body. You could cut the pucks shorter if you don't want a full 3"... search this site for the info thread

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I saw a body lift kit that was specific to the 2010 either? I saw people talking about mod'ing older kits...something about how many bolts were in the bed. I would do a body lift but I also want it leveled out. Are coil spacers generic? Would a coil spacer for an older Ranger work on mine? Are there any negatives to a body lift? Cables, hoses, radiator, etc? I have never lifted a vehicle before, only lowered them and there is always negatives when you lower them! Just wondering if the same applies to raising one.

Hey Trackback, depending how high you wanna go, i suggest a 3 inch coil lift in the front and a 3 inch shackle lift in the back! plus because you have a new truck, these lifts usualy won't mess with your baby's waranty!

Thanks, coils would be my first choice but where do I find them??? Nobody lists coils for a 2010. I think the latest I've seen was for a 2006 or maybe 2008? I figured coils were pretty generic but with all the changes to the 2010 I just can't be sure? Do you know of a place that lists the 2010?

Thank you very much! I did just find a Front spring 3" spacer and rear 1" Shackle combo on fleabay. Are these spacers and shackles safe? I do a lot of freeway driving.

Body lift for your truck is possible but tricky... nothing is "rated" for it 'cause it's so new... my truck was a year old when I lifted it and still no lifts were "rated" for it 'cause of it's age but all rangers are pretty much the same. Only tricky thing with you is you have an extra pair of bolts holding your bed to the frame so you may be short on blocks but if you don't plan on hauling anything super heavy (and probably even if you do) you should be fine not putting blocks on every bolt.

Also any lift has potential to mess with your warranty. My dealership hasn't complained at all about any of the mods I've done, including the body lift and 33s. It's the luck of the draw.

Excellent! Thank you very much everyone!!! I think I'll start off with the spacer/shackle deal and if it doesn't give me the look I want I'll explore the body lift. One last question...If I put 3" spacers on my front coils will I need longer shocks or will what I have be ok until they wear out?

The guy where i go fo custom parts told me all i needed to do was crank the front (cheaper than spacers) and 32 would do fine.

So 31s shouldn't be an issue.

I'm sitting in the same boat as he. I'm looking to lift my 2010 and nothing shows up for this year. I'm also wondering how it will effect my warranty.

My roomates 2010 FX4 has 10 bed bolts, compared to my 6. Same exact truck but 2 years newer. Luckily for him the kit come with 14 bolts and spacers. So two kits, 28 blocks, I used 12, thats 16 left for him lol

Just make sure you have enough spacers before. Cause the kit I bought would be missing 2 spacers for his 2010
