my college has "alternative fuel vehicle parking only" spots. their a lot narrower than the normal spots, and theres a dude with a diesel f-250 that runs it off vegetable oil, so he always parks there and takes up like 2 or spots lol

I have never seen a sign like that anywhere around here. It's not a big deal to me, and if I did come across a sign like that I wouldn't park there just to be a prick.

I wasn't parking there to be a prick. I just thought it would make for a funny picture.

I didn't mean you, or anyone in particular. I was just saying that I wouldn't.

Besides, I like to park way far away from other cars anyway....

Same here. When ever my mom drives my truck she always pull as close as she can to the front. Makes me mad every time.

I hear ya. The way I see it, I'd rather walk a few extra steps than to risk having some jerk put a ding in my ride.

I'm the same exact way, plus you always know there is a parking spot off in the distance so you can just go there and park instead of hunting around up front searching for a spot.

we dont have hybrid signs here but in the garages downtown louisville there's tons of signs for "compact parking only". There's always some oversize SUV parked in one of those and i've yet to see them get a ticket.... But do that in a regular lot or on the street and the parking cops are all over you...

Yeah, I've had that happen, too. It irritates me when I go out of my way to get away from other cars just to find that other people have parked right next to me. But still, parking far away does decrease the chance of that happening.

The cart thing pisses me off, too. I'm sure almost anyone with a car that's not a complete POS would be mad if they come out of the store to find that a cart has hit their car. Yet it seems that most people, when they're leaving, leave the carts anywhere. Like since they're leaving, who cares where they leave the cart. It's not going to hit their own car, and that's all they care about.

i always try to push the spare carts up to the cart corrals, because some idiot will come flying into those parking places and hit one, then it goes flying down the parking lot and hit some unsuspecting car (and more than likely - mine)...

Same here. Not putting them in the corrals means they're probably blocking a parking space and at risk of running away if it's windy. Sometimes I see fools who will go and push their empty cart into a parking space that's further away than the corral is.

Things like this make me worry about the state of the human race.

or they push it towards the corral, and with how shitty casters are on carts, they swerve wildly into other cars..
