I'll play, I have never got a "bad" gift, but my mother would only buy me clothes for Christmas, and I once put some sort of catastrophic tear in every one of my pairs of blue jeans (the only kind of pants I wear) from August to October. She still saw no reason to replace them, so I really appreciated the clothing that Christmas. If worst gift is generic, my Grandparents forgot my birthday twice in on year once, once every year after that.

I have never gotten an awful gift that I can remember, however, I have gotten shirts and pants from my mother-in-law who by now should know that a 6 foot tall person can't wear a size M shirt. I can understand getting me a large instead of XL, but a medium! At least I get a gift receipt for an exchange, and after XMAS is when things are on sale, so sometimes I can exchange 1 shirt or pants for 2.

One of my aunts gets me body wash every single year because she thinks it's the "in" thing.
It wasn't a present, but my grandma gave me a book about Jeff Gordon and a John Deere hat pin. I don't like either of them and she knows it.
