Re: favorite fake parts
on my summer cruise we get the freshman to look for or go into the engine room for
"a bucket of steam"
"left hand wrench"
"the compass battery"
and the best is we had a mug(freshman) help re-calibrate the radar. which required a helmet that he had to wrap in foil w. kitchen spoons wrapped in foil in each hand. and he had to jump up and down waving the spoons on the bow to really hone in on the signal. hahah

They keep from getting stolen with a steering wheel lock. Basically, it's about a 2' length of bicycle cable lock anchored to the underside of the dash at one end with a loop at the other. Wrap the looped end around the steering wheel and put a pad lock through the loop and around the cable.
If some idiot looses the key, you can cut the lock with a bolt cutter.

dosent having a battery kind of defeat the whole point of a Chem light

Re: favorite fake parts
A Master Debater Panel. Someone used that on a guy in the A-10 hangar a few weeks ago. Heard the dude spent like an hour looking up and researching it.
