Funny but I never understood the big deal of riding in the bed of a truck. Just use your brain and sit up against the cab. If you're stupid enough to fall out of a truck bed and get hurt or killed, that's just the process of natural selection making sure you don't soil the gene pool.

Man, back when I was a kid you always saw people riding in the back of trucks. I remember doing it. I thought it was great. Safe? Not really, but oh well.

I used to go over and bring my kids home from school that way, and the neighbor kids. The loved it when I would hit water puddles. When they made it illegal, the fine was something crazy like $300 per kid. If they are under 15. Over, it doesn't matter.

I can't count the times my dad let me and my brother ride in the back of his truck. Whether it was just up the hill behind our house or at highway speeds to and from my great grandparents house.

Back in the late 80's my nephew used to love to ride in the back of my truck & hold on to the roll bar.

In Alabama if you're over 16 it's perfectly legal to ride in the back of a pick up on the interstate.

In Ontario you just need to make sure that all of the seatbelts are already occupied by passengers first

In PA, the only way one can ride in the bed is if there is a seat with a seat belt installed. Like the Subaru Brat used to have.

I believe in Ohio, both the driver and the passenger have to be 18, and it can only be on city streets. No state highways.

Any passenger on any public road must have a seat and seatbelt to ride anywhere in any vehicle.
