That's what I always hated about them. And the burl wood trim they used in the 85-91 trucks didn't make it any better.

What I always hated was they were bright red in the sun and maroon in cloudy weather which makes it look like its purple.

A lot of the time the seats and the fabric inserts on the door panels fade from red, to almost a dark yellow.
