new ranger owner again
Hello,
I just bought a used 2002 Ranger 4x4 extended cab FX4 for my son (and me). We needed a truck in the family. I had a 2WD Ranger way back in the day - 1985 I think. That was the first vehicle I bought. 5 speed; cap. Bought it in MD, drove it to FL then TX where I had to sell it because I needed a "family" car Glad to be back! Took a long time...

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Tom asked if I have any plans for the truck. So I bought it used and it needs some minor things - rear brakes, tires (31s before next winter), cat back exhaust (summer maybe or sooner if the muffler falls off), spare tire & hoist. Engine ran really nice, the clutch was new, and the price was good. Seemed like a good truck for my son to have for some years and learn proper maintance & repair skills. Especially with the FRF community. We plan to use it rather than make it into a rock crawler or something fancy. We like to ski and 4WD is good to have on powder days. Also it should be good for pulling my snowmobiles around and driving forest service back roads in the mountains in the summer & fall. Thanks again!
