Hi all-we have a 2010 Thoroughbred Stallion, with a Ford Ranger 2007 engine, drive, all Ford Ranger 2007 components, the three wheel motorcycle is made in Texas-we have a problem, we lost the ignition key. Does anyone know if the ignition for the Ford Ranger 2007 has a chip in it? We were at the locksmith yesterday, and he could not find a key match for it. Can anyone point us in the right direction. We will call the dealer Monday, but thought someone out there could help-thanks!

The 2007 Ranger does indeed utilize the standard PATS, which is the ship in the key which is recognized by the vehicle in order to start.

I believe it does have a chip.

Thanks for the feedback on the chip in the ignition key on the 07 Ranger/Thoroughbred Stallion motorcycle, and the breakout x-ray view of our bikes layout, pretty cool-guess we'll be talking with the dealer today
