I picked up a Torch Red 2010 4x4 a couple of weeks ago and have been browsing forums since then. My first vehicle was a 1998 TJ that I still have. I'd use it as a DD if it had an air conditioner and was more secure. In 2003, I bought a True Blue Mustang GT and drove it for 4 and a half years. During that time, I bought a Yamaha FZ6, which took the fun out of the Mustang. I started looking at F-150's and Rangers, but ended up driving home in a 2007 Grabber Orange Mustang GT.

After about 3 years, I decided to start looking for a pickup again. Since Ford no longer puts standard transmissions in the F-150, I looked at Rangers instead. I got an online quote that I liked, so I traded the Mustang in. I'm not done with fast cars yet, I plan to build a Factory Five some day.

So far, I'm real happy with the Ranger. I'm not used to having such tall gears (3.73's) though. My Jeep has 4.10's and both of my GT's had 4.30's. I may crank the torsion bars enough to level it out some, but otherwise, I plan to just drive it. It's nice to have something that I can easily carry a mountain bike in for once.

I've been reading that I can get the keys from a pre-2008 Ranger and it will lift it an inch or 2 without increasing wear. I don't see how that is any different that cranking the bars to get the same amount of lift.
