Hello all, joined the forum because i have a new to me Ranger EDGE. Ive always been a Mustang guy but the last one (a 94 GT) just made my life pure hell. Ended up trading it off for a 2002 Ranger EDGE 2wd 3.0 5 speed with 103,xxx miles. Its nice having something that does not need a bunch of work. Also nice to have A/C again!! My 2 yr old loves this thing, he calls it daddy's big truckie.

I have a degree in automotive technology, I hold A1-A8 ASE certs but i'm a stay at home dad. Sadly its way cheaper then going to work full time.

My wife and I have also made the move from Louisville, KY to Smyrna, TN. She was transferred for work hence the move.

Here are some crappy cell phone pics of the day i got it and how it looks now. The tint had to be removed because of tint laws and having to be inspected to move into the state. The wheels were poorly plasti-coated black so i pulled the stuff off.

I'm thinking about blacking out the hump on the hood to break up the sea of yellow.

BTW I am not a fan of the color but it was an even trade for my car, i would much rather have blue!!





And one of my boy helping wash it! lol I was not planing on washing it but he wanted to.

I have the same truck but 4x4 and a 2003 but it looked just like that when i bought it now it has dents and scratches and lifted with 33 you will love your truck even with the 3.slow (3.0) congrats on joining us

It sure is a turd, lol this poor truck has NO power. It sure beats a black car with no A/C with a kid in the back seat sweating his little but off.

Thanks. There's a lot i would like to do to this truck but its nice to have something that i can just jump in and drive. I would love to lower it but i'm thinking about buying another one just to play with. Got to recoup the cash from this move first.

I can in mine and its the same truck and cars all go through safety tests nowadays and there have been trucks like rangers for years its only now that we have all got so crazy worried about things and the human race isnt going extinct yet

Why would i not carry him in it? LOL Yes the passenger airbag can and is turned off. Hell its safer than the 94 Mustang GT he was riding in.

I like my truck but its not worth the cash to do that. I would just go and buy a Harley Davidson f150 or a lighting if i wanted something with good power.......hmmmm not a bad idea.....we are car shopping after all.
