Default Hello from the Northwest! New to the forum.

I have an aging ranger with about 150k on current motor which came out of a wrecked '96. Cruising up hill was never this trucks strong suit but 223k miles later its barely keeping up with the speed limit in 4th gear! add camping cargo, dog and girlfriend and we are sputtering around 42 miles an hour going over cascade passes and sometimes I shift down to 3rd just to maintain 40mph. What mods can I do to boost power in this old faithful bucket of bolts? While I'd like a more powerful truck and have entertained a v6 or f150, the rangers get great mileage. Had her 20 years now and would love to keep her as long as possible.

thanks all and looking forward to learning what I can here.
