This is my first truck and i wanna make mine one of the baddest 2wds this side the mississippi! I don't know much about lifts, tires. Lately ive been lookin at suspension lifts cause i was told that's a good place to start. Also i've looked into lift shackles and spindles but all of it is kinda a foreign language to me lol i really have no clue where to start. i've had her for a little over a year and the most ive done is take the mud flaps off. im pretty proud of that. i've taken her muddin ALOT and have been in small swamps, river sides, big hills, rough driveways, small trails, everywhere! my stock ranger has been through hell and still goin strong. only problem is my leaf springs squeak a little and my brakes stick just a tiny bit. lol im lookin for easy and cheap ways to start on this lil project. Suspension lifts? Lockers? Tires, km2, swamper, bfg?? Not really into the outside appearance like lights and pretty rims i want the mean dirty look! Any tips and opinions on where i should start would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

First erase the "beefing up my engine" part..its a 3.0 and nothing u can really do to it without dropping lots of cash...most guys swap in a 302 5.0 from an explorer when their 3.0s fail...but for the most part the 3.0 is a reliable long lasting engine if taken care of.

Search the forum for lift options, lifting a 2wd is way easier and cheaper than a 4wd.
