I think you can't just buy the thermostat. You have to buy the whole thing. Mine was stuck open. I just took it out, sanded it, and it worked again.

I went to carquest and it cost me 6 bucks for the thermostat by itself and .59 cents I think it was. That was a year ago lol You can buy them separate.

All,
I must have the only truck around that the thermostat is a one piece unit. Apparently it’s only on the 2.3L but I'm not sure. Still it's a good truck, with good gas mileage, comfortable and even with the 2.3L able to haul a 14 ft trailer with it moderately loaded and the best part is it’s paid off.

Howdy,
I got the new t-stat in but it overheated again after 25 minutes on the road driving 65 mph. As stated before I can drive slow and nothing happens.Anyone have any ideas?

Found out it was the radiator all but 5 flues were clogged.
