Just joined the forum 2 days ago.

Here goes nothing:

Last weekend bought a Ranger.
2008 4x4 Supercab 4.0L Auto tranny, 97K miles.
Now trying to learn the good, the bad and the ugly about it.

I'm a 54 year old married guy. Born and raised in central Nebraska , spent some time in New England in my mid- to late 20's, landed in Houston for 20 years, job got me transferred to Dallas 4 years ago. No offense to Houstonians, but we LOVE Dallas area.

This is my 3rd relationship with a Ranger, 1st one was an '83 4x4 Regular cab 2.3L BFI (before fuel injection) bought new off of the lot. My wife had a 95 Ext.cab 3.0L when I married her, but my step-daughter destroyed it when she was 17 driving thru deep water - and yes, it was in the Houston area.

That's my history. I expect that I will be skulking about quite a bit absorbing everything I can from this forum and the gurus that add so much knowledge to it. It looks like a great forum.

Hi I am new to this site. I have a a Red Ford Ranger 2003 with a Custom Cap and a 7 foot bed. I have approx. 88k miles on her. Unfortunately she has front drivers side damage from getting hit at a red light by a large Grand Marquis. The clutch has been out since Nov 6th, 2013. I am having the truck fixed come June.
Any thoughts or advice on clutch repair would be great.
