Maybe I should put this in too, I don't think buying an SUV is bad, just the people that buy rigs and never use them for the purpose they were made for. Like a Hummer H2 with 24's. So you get 15 mpg and you can't take it off road, but you look "cool" dumb looking to me.

The other thing is it falls on the manufacturer to update their technology. The new direct injection engines are way more efficient. Put this in more rigs, bring the cost down and reap the benefits.

I get what your saying. It's stupid. Granted...I got my truck before I ever even wanted a truck, but I use it as a truck 1-3 times a week, now, I'd never have anything else.

Agreed, I have two trucks. They are used as such. And I use my 4wd to go places I can't in a 2wd. I love body dropped trucks, but I can't own one. You can't use it.

To each their own, and I'm open for anyones opinion, these are my opinions. There are some awesome trucks out there that never see anything but a drive to work, school and the store, and that's fine. But I can't see owning a truck to just be cool. I tend to be a practical person though. So my trucks will work first and look bad ass second. Which I think is doable.

The dent in your bed doesn't look that bad. I bet you could have that pulled out cheap. Or is the passenger side really bad?

Default Re: 1999 Ranger, Pushin 306k miles

Father finally blew ranger up after I let it sit for months at 389k miles. This truck's now going to get a explorer 5.0 swap with either a 6 speed or t5 swap, and going to also be building a 4bt ranger off a cummins frame.
