Default sorry no Ford but the sister truck

I just picked up my first truck , Its a 1996 Mazda B3000 . It isnt in to bad of shape but like like anything of that age needs some work .

I am looking to make a canyon runner , I love a vehicle that can handle the twisties , now I know a truck isnt the best choice for this project but it is something I have always wanted to do .

Future plans are a 3/4 drop, replace the sway bars with 11/8 front and a 7/8 rear ,lowered shocks ,modify a Ranger body kit to fit , replace the box with a Ranger sidestep box and a hard tonneau cover . Toyota Supra 6 way adjustable seats in both positions , custom stereo installed by me with a center consul sub-woofer enclosure , the amp , eq ,xovers will be mounted on the ceiling of the cab . the cab will also be sound deadened to keep out the road noise , This is going to be a long term project over several years .

these rims and tires are temporary and will be replaced when the truck is lowered

welcome. rough country sells a 4" suspension lift kit for about $450.00
not sure if you want that or the body lift but a lot of people suggested a suspension lift against a body lift if your going to take it in the woods

Mazda made some international trucks before they made their US version. They had a Mazda Bravo and Mazda Bounty, so it's possible that the "B" is just taken from that.

Thanks for the welcoming , Today the beast got 4 new Munro gas shocks , at least the truck isnt bouncing going over bumps. The shock tightened everything up.This is just a temporary set up ,when I do the 3/4 drop they will get replaced with dropped shocks instead .

The next thing to go on will be the tires and rims but I wont have then untill the end of the month .

Canyon Runner is a vehicle that has its suspension modified from stock to be able to handle the twisty roads , the phrase was created in the 70's when people in California would drive up the canyons with these vehicles to see just how far the vehicles could be pushed ,usually to the point of losing traction and sliding of the road .

Where I live there are alot of twisty roads that I enjoy driving so a truck that handles is more important to me than one that can off road .

Or "Bonehead idea," why didn't we just call it a FORD.
