Good Afternoon!
I will introduce myself by going down the list in sticky for this area...
I am 51 years old, living in SW Georgia, and an unemployed IT Manager. I am also a writer, though most is non-fiction and certainly not to everyone's taste...I call the writing a hobby, since I make almost no money from it!
Additionally I have the hobbies of Amateur Radio and Woodworking; working on vehicles is NOT a hobby for me, as I really don't know much about mechanic work...but I'm learning, because I am poor!
As to my truck, 18 months ago I purchased a used white 2002 Ranger XLT 2-Wheel Drive, with the 3.0 liter V-6 engine, and 105,000 miles. This truck was previously owned by a welding shop and had been wrecked. It has a replacement bumper with fog lights, but no switch (I will fix that one day, maybe), and a flat bed with wood rails that the welding shop built for it, and a toolbox mounted to the bed.
I started my truck project by adding 2 meter FM radio gear, switched the oil to Amsoil Platinum (what I use in everything) and their best filter, then coated the bed with Herculiner and stained the wood with an ebony stain. Then I painted the gray grill a glossy black. Today I put new rotors, pads, and bearings on the front, then changed the anti-sway bar bushings. Tomorrow morning I am putting a new belt on it...why am I telling you all of this in my introduction?
Quite simply as a way to say "THANK YOU" to all those who have posted instructions and photos! Especially a user named "STL"! The instructions and photos on here are MUCH BETTER than the Haynes manual I bought; most of the Haynes photos are useless!
BTW, if any of you are also into Amateur Radio I am KJ4ZNK and Maidenhead Locator is EM70vv.
