Default Proud papa of a Ranger as of today

Hey guys what's up? I just bought a 1994 Ford ranger Last night and picked her up today. Got big plans for her in the next 5 or 6 weeks. Big car show locally and gotta get the audio up to par by then :-) I bought a 1994 Ext cab ranger V6 auto with 100k miles. Before I got home I already put a set a decent set of used tires on her, then pulled the head liner, and seats out and painted the grill. Lol

Here's after I got the tires:

Here's after I painted the grill:

I hope to enjoy checking out everyone's rangers and learning a few things in the process :-) Im gonna be doing a lot more with her tomorrow after work.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the truck. Looks like you did a good job with some compound/polish, looks alot shinier in the second image. Or could do some aftermarket (good taste) not the ugly aftermarket ones.

Thanks ill definitely get a headlight restore kit lol. I was thinking about getting rid of the 60/40 front bench and doing two bucket seats. Does anyone know what the easiest way would be to go about doing that?

Hi, welcome here!

Good looking job on the grill. Just wondering what kind of paint you used? I got a mint 2005 last month but the oxidized grill and plastic on the bumper are bumming me out.

Did you do any special prep work beforehand?

Nice truck! After I removed the grill I washed it with water and washing powders (works wonders) and lightly sanded it and let it dry completely. I just used plain black spray from the local wally world for like $2. Just took my time and did light layers. 8 to be exact. Just let each layer sit for about 20min before adding the next.

I was looking around in Lowe's at the spray paint yesterday. Spotted something I had never seen before, spray paint for plastic. I picked up a can and will try it out when it warms up a little.

If it doesn't work I'm only out about $6.

Very nice condition and low miles for a 94'. Congrats, and I love the color. My 08' just hit 69,000 miles.
