Hello - I'm John, I'm 30 and in Colorado Springs, CO. I bought my '01 Ranger Edge new, July 5th, 2001. since then I've explored the trails west of Colorado Springs & Denver with great enthusiasm, but until recently I've really not had the funds to make any real modifications to my ride. The only thing I've done to the truck is add a set of BFG T/A KOs.

The truck is an '01 Edge, 4.0L V6, 4WD... not sure what other details are pertinent.

I've had my BFGs on the truck for about 4 years and put about 65k miles on them (truck has about 105k mi total) and they are rapidly approaching replacement. Now that I have some funds I have a renewed interest in looking at adding a suspension lift prior to buying new tires (as, obviously, this would give me more room to go larger). I have no idea where to start though - this is one of the primary reason I've joined the forum... I need some direction from those that have been there before. Suspension, Tires, Performance, bumper replacement, rack, accessories - any direction I can get, I would appreciate.

Also, anyone in the Colorado Springs, CO area - I'd enjoy having more friends to head out on the trails with too.

2wd or 4wd?


EDIT: Suspension lift you have the superlift 4". Runs around 2k with new front drive shaft. Body lift is just under $200 for 3".

Edit - I also am in need of a resource for replacement glass/mirror for the passenger side (manual) - not the housing, just the glass. Mine was damaged a few months back, I picked up what was ~suppose~ to be a suited replacement part, but it's shape is slightly off and it is not a proper passenger side mirror as things aren't "closer than they appear." I'll post my questions on parts in the proper areas as well - as I know I'm really just suppose to be introducing myself here. Thanks!

welcome. and dude if i lived in colorado i would be way down to go along on some of those trails. i love that area.
