Default Rearend question

I have a 7.5 3.73 one week peel I like to do burnouts and go off road in and I drive highway and city pretty evenly 40/60 but I want to have both of the wheels turning I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to get a 8.8 or what sounds good I have no idea

limited slip, or locker. same with a 8.8. However "i wanna do burnouts" is not a very good reason to upgrade.

Anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you need the 8.8 rear to switch from an open rear to a limited slip/posi rear. You can use your 7.5. I also may be wrong about this but I think you may be able to use a mustang rear, and I think they come with both 7.5 and 8.8 rear ends too.

but isn't the 8.8 a stronger rearend that already comes ls?

----------

Do you know what you would have to do the master cylinder or have to get and is there a kit to put the 8.8 in?

not all 8.8s are ls

----------

you dont have to do anything if its out of another ranger....it bolts right in...all you need is the U-bolts for the 8.8
