Hello, Ford Ranger Forum.
Edward here, I am originally from California, but now in Alaska. I work in the power generation field. It is fun? Well, enough of that, ha. j/k
My Ranger is a '99 Ranger XLT extended cab stepside type(flareside?) with the 3.0 engine, and heavy duty whatever package, but interestingly, only the 7.5 rearend. Doesn't that heavy duty package (?) usually entail the 8.8?? I dunno. Well, I bought said Ranger way back when in 2001 in Fairbanks, Alaska. I thought it looked great (Harvest Gold paint), and there was this huge mega ultra summer blowout going on, so got it at a very decent price, IMO. This truck has never ceased to amaze my wife and I over the years, as it has had relatively few problems, despite multiple trips across the U.S. and Canada(just hit 100,000 miles). Really, only had a couple problems with brakes(bad drum in the rear/siezed up caliper pin in the front) and the obligatory PO401 problem, lol. I believe I am on my third, maybe fourth, DPFE sensor, haha. But no matter though, still a great truck.
All in all, I am glad to be here and there looks to be a lot of great information and folks at this forum.

Hopefully I can upload some soon! I may be replacing the engine soon, just for fun and to keep everything "fresh". I'll definitely upload pictures of that.
