Hi,

I'm Mark I have a 2001 ranger 4x4 with 3.0 and 100K miles. Lots of little annoying issues, which add up to one big pain in the butt.

Dome light wont go out, I shorted something while fiddleing with it now

Wipers won't work and air bag light flashing.

Not related to that, the heater fan only blows on high.

Intermittent wiper don't work, they move 4" and stop, 4" and stop, 4" and stop.

On top of that it gets terrible gas mileage (maybe 12 city, 17 hiway, maybe)
God I love this truck.

Heater issue sounds like a faulty control panel

Dome light issue sounds like door latch not making full contact

How many flashes is the airbag light flashing? If it is 2 flashes then 7 flashes it's a bad connection under the seat

Windshield wiper motor may be going out

Welcome. if you fix the short on the dome light. spray wd-40 thru any door latch you have. it should fix the issue. the blower has a resister. the resister should be mounted below the motor housing or right around there. pull it off and clean the connections if that doesn"t work you need a new one $15
