Default whats good everyone

so whats goin on? my name is dustin tackett and i have been a ranger enthusiast for a long time now. im 20 years old and this is my 2nd ranger. i had a 96 ranger sport, and now i have a 93 ranger. i plan on building this into a simple clean custom street truck that can still do the job of a truck.

my basic build plan is...
  • replace fenders
  • shave door handles
  • relocate tail gate release
  • shave rear lights
  • install 33 inch. led tri color lights in the tailgate to take the place of the tail lights
  • Find a clean body kit, simple and effective.
  • 18 inch black out rims
  • black paint job with some sort of lime green accent details
  • 2 inch cowl hood
  • nitto neo gen rubber
  • black and lime green seats.
  • replace enitre dash, and paint black with lime green accents

thats just the looks of it. in the future i am thinking a 351W, t5 tranny, and ford 9 inch rear end, if i am able to pay for it lol

if any of you know where i can find some of these parts for a good price, i would listen to any advice that you would have.

Welcome to the board, sounds like you got a good plan going. Always good to have experienced members participating

Little bit off subject, but I see your profile info says your deployed in Africa. What do you got going on there?

we are here to win the hearts and minds pretty much. we make friends with the country and help them out in hopes that when and if someone comes here with the intentions to harm us, the locals will let us know. in a way its a peace keeping mission. the locals here are very nice, and let us know a lot, and the food aint bad either. shamousea is great. its like a triangle pastry with beef in the middle and some kind of sauce. its really good lol

yes i have heard the 8.8 is good but will it handle the 351W bored to 427? i have been told if you want the best then the 9 inch is the way to go. and i have found them for decently cheap.

Sounds like a plan, the 351 is a great engine, might want to go with a Tremec t-5. I had to do a complete overhaul of the BW t-5 due to abuse by the previous owner when it was in the mustang, 2nd gear synchro was the first thing to go.
