Hi my name is Justin and I just purchased me a 2006 4.0 v6 Ford Ranger .I have always loved cars my entire life as long as I could hold the flashlight for my father. I remember working on my 88 cougar with my father and we would make that car fly and now that I have me my first truck I told my dad I would do what he always wanted and try to fix it up and start going to car shows so I would love any ideas on it.But I am also here to learn about my ranger and would love for people to talk to me about it

I also own a 1988 Cougar XR7 that I have done a lot of work to over the years, It now has a supercharged 5.0 among many other mods.

But the thing is idk what to do with it like I want some black rims but where I live at they cost ALOT but also don't know what size I can go up to without lifting it

You could just paint your rims black for now and change the tires.
If you are looking to go with taller tires , 235/75/15's will fit no problem, and 31x10.50x15's usually fit without any issues. Either size tire would work on your stock rims.

Well I'm gonna get some rims but don't know if I should pay 400$ for a set of rims at discount tire near my house

Aftermarket rims would be nice, or just spend the money on a new set of bigger tires for now. I've seen a lot of trucks here with the stock rims blacked out and they look good too.

I just looked up the MB TKO rims at discount tire direct on line, they look awesome. They have them listed for $104.00 ea for 15x8's. If you can get them for $400.00 locally that is a good deal !

Possibly a body or suspension lift ?
I would check out the photos of other members trucks in the "Ranger Pictures" section.
Lots of nice trucks with all different types of mods posted there.
It could help you get ideas on what mods you might like for your truck.
