I looking to buy this ranger that the dealership is claiming to be a FX4 level 2 but it has a edge decal on the back of the bed. Thats making me think its an edge not an FX4 level 2. I'm just wondering what is the difference between the two and how can i tell between the two. I just dont want to overpay because they claim its a higher model that what it really is. Any response will help. Thanks

That is an edge. Not a level two. Level II's have black interiors and the new ones have two tone paint and black plastic flares.

Other thing to check is anything except axle code R7 or R8 cannot be an FX4 level II. If it is correct the axle will have an extra tag on it saying to use a different differential fluid in it than normal.

As everyone else has said body matched flares are edge only, no Alcoa's, no BFG A/T KO 31x10.50R15's, no chrome hook style tow hooks, missing FX4 level II logo's, has a damn edge logo. Check the owners manual it probably says Ranger Edge on the cover as well.

Its missing all black interior, chrome shifter, standard cruise, alcoa rims, silver bezeled gauge cluster, level II stickers, black flares, and silver j hooks.
