Just turned 16 in January, on my second car now. Inherited a 96 olds cutlass from my grandpa with 233,000 miles on it. Blew a gasket, and sold it and worked my butt off for this ranger. Got a lot of work invested in this truck so far, but have had a lot of fun with it too. 77 thousand miles on it now, but when I got it, I knew nothing about cars, but loved them. I was told it was only used as a ride to work, but later it became obvious it was used and abused as a farm truck. Gears on the back axle were stripped out as if they were towing their horses with it. Got that all rebuilt, which wasnt cheap. The mechanics who repaired that made the previous dent in the rear quarter panel twice as big, but denied causing it. Scratchless, but looks hard to pop out. Its right on the edge of the wheel well in the rear quarter panel. Just recently, I almost got into a wreck due to a child running out in the street, but when I turned a big panel van turned on the street and I almost hit him, but when i hit the brakes I wasnt stopping any faster than I always do. I later found out that the front brakes were the original brakes. Got that replaced. Then a sensor went out, got that replaced, and now my ball bearings on the front wheels are going out. Also noticed rear springs are going out. That thing was driven hard and put away wet. It is clear it was used as a farm truck. Still my pride and joy. Just got done putting an 11th coat of wax on it today. No clue how long each coat lasts, but all 11 coats were put on in the last 5 months. Looks beautiful.
