Question B3000 owner from Maine, New to Forum

Hey everyone, new here. been meaning to join. Have lots of issues with my truck that need fixin'....hope you all can shead some light!......................

Probably isnt the place for a question but here goes>>>>

First time on the Forum. I'd appreciate any help.......
-Have a 2000 b3000 3.0 4x4 auto.
Was driving home today and i noticed a few times when i went to apply the brake, it would push back a little & make a clicking noise..... then the ABS light came on and the speedometer & tach would occasionally go haywire. Also it shifts really hard into 2nd...and has slipped a few times since this started....have driven roughly 40 miles since this started. A mechanic told me it "could" be the speed sensor and he thinks its located in the rear end. --Anyone have an idea what it could be? i have not had it scanned yet and only the abs light came on, not check engine light. This is just the most recent issue with this truck, urgent actually. Thanks folks!

you can use a ABS scanner or genesis tool to read ABS codes. Some higher end shops will have this and can tell you what the code is relating to. Not sure on the location of the speed sensors, but on some cars(specially mazda) they liked to put them behind the wheel hubs and read off a gear to monitor wheel speed.

Welcome, I would see if could find a shop that has an ABS reading machine, or go to sears and shell out 200 bucks for one of your own.
