Hello to everyone here at the Ford Ranger Forum. I would first like to say that I like this website so far, and I've only gone into a few corners of it. I'm hoping that this site will allow me to do a few things to my Ranger that I was wondering about.
About me: Unemployed most of 2009, so not much extra cash around to do anything with. I have a job that starts Jan 4, 2010, so the new year is already looking brighter. I will be working for a local building supplier that my dad has been with for almost 30 years. I hope to be there just as long.
About my Ranger: It is a 2001 XLT Supercab, with stepside bed. It is stock for now, but I hope to invest some money in it this year, and make it look better.
Plans for my Ranger: I am hoping to buy a new tailgate shell and get it painted, and replace the one that is currently rusted to he**. Its bad, very bad. I had hoped to get a sport-net or other fabric tailgate for Christmas, but from what I am gathering, no one makes a tailgate narrow enough to fit the bed. I also hope to fix a few rust spots that are starting on the bottom of the 'supercab' doors, and along the rockers as well. I have seen a few things here I wouldn't mind trying, but will admit that I am somewhat timid at doing these things, and can give up easily when frustrated. With the new year, hopefully I can keep myself committed to seeing things through, good or bad, and learning from them
About me: Not much. I like fast cars (own a kind of fast car, more on that later), loud guitars (play bass guitar and electric, own 2 basses, and 1 electric), and am happily in a relationship. I enjoy classic rock, some newer rock, and some country.
I look forward to getting to know some of the people here and learning many things!
