Ford nooby needs help!
first off i want to say hey to everyone who reads my posts... lets get right into it, i have a 1987 ford ranger 2.9 v6 stick shift, the previous owner modified it alot *look at pics* but has also beat it up! does anyone know of a legit cold air intake for my truck i cant seem to find one and i got one from ebay and it did not come close to fitting!... i also need a radiator fan shroud and theres a ticking sound thats always there and i was told that it has somthing to do with my fuel system like a bad ingector? im not sure, please any help will be greatly appreciated...

I highly doubt any one has a cold air intake for it. Also watch out for those cheap ones like you bought the piping is made from alum which conducts heat. It's more of a hot air intake. A stock intake is fine.
On to your other one. For the fan shroud nab one from a junk yard would be best. Rock auto might have one listed.
Now with the ticking, to diag a tick you need to hear it kinda hard over Internet. Could be injector. Could messed up pulley bearing. Also 2.9 is the baby brother of the 4.0l OHV. They are known to have oiling problems in the top end causing the push rod to rocker to wear and cause a ticking
