Default Hello fellow trauck enthusiasts

Hi my name is Neale,
i currently own a 2000 4 cylinder ranger. i have recently made up my mind that instead of buying a new ford truck i want to put a 4.0L V6 engine, lift it 6in. put a visor over the windshield, a bed roll bar that can mount at least 3 baja style lights, a brushguard type bumper that also can mount lights, exhaust kits, skid plates, and overall just turn this truck into a off road anywhere beast.

Sorry if that seemed a little drawn out but i have alot that i want to do and i love my truck. i never wanna sell it and i would love to get help or advice to make it better. Unfortunately i do not have much knowledge about the modifications that i want to do but i am mechanically inclined and have done an engine swap before.

I am very excited about joining this forum and even more so ready to fix up my truck!!!!!!

Welcome to FRF! Is it 2wd? or 4x4, personally, I would be weary on making a 'go anywhere' truck that is a 2wd. I might be wrong though!

Welcome Neale! I'm partial to the 4 cylinder Sport myself, but understand your need for a little more power. As noted, you might want a 5.0 to power your future beast!!

Good luck with your project! Nothing wrong with talking about your dreams! Now you need the plan to make it real.

Kevin

Good call, I just didn't think they made 4x4s with the 4 cylinder, didn't think it had enough power! lol
