Default Want a diesel

I'm a newbie here so I'm probably not doing anything right. Signed up to see if there was any other interest in the New-for-Everywhere-But-Here Ranger that Ford is building. I am the contented owner of a '99 Nissan Frontier with the sweet 2.4 litre DOHC 4 that they also used in the 240SX, But the poor thing is getting old and I would buy a new diesel Ranger in a heaertbeat. Simple 4 cylinder turbodiesel engine with a manual transmission. Your basic work truck with an extended cab and a normal size bed. Flareside if it's not too much bother.

I hear you. The "New-for-Everywhere-But-Here Ranger" you mentioned is what I would buy this year if they were available. I had a 83 diesel ranger; it was awesome til just a few years ago. must have put 300,000 miles on it. it only showed 99,999 on the odometer and then flipped back to 00,001.

My 99 I-4 is awesome too. It has 152,000 on it and I was entertaining the same idea as you with you old truck. Too bad Ford has killed the U.S. Ranger all together.
