Default Wanting Ranger, Is this one worth the money

Hey you guys!!
I am trying to find a Ranger on a tight budget in the St. Louis area. I found a 1995 Ranger XLT ext cab with a 3.0L V6 for $1500 and it is very clean and comes with a tool box; however, the truck has 230,000 miles and may need new rear springs soon! Here is a link to the craigslist posting. Can you guys give me some suggestions!
EDIT:This truck ended up not working out, but I did get a Mazda B2500! More info in 1st post of page 2 on this thread.

rear springs no biggie..check condition of motor, oil, clutch, and go from there.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I'm planning on going to see it tomorrow, how much do you think it is worth and what should I offer.
BTW-I am 16 years old, my previous car was a Ford Aspire that was destroyed when a cv axle snapped while I was making a turn and ended up in a cornfield. That is why I am looking for a new vehicle.

I'd say check everything out(motor, clutch, brakes the usual) and then go from there.. if it was me I'd throw an offer of a grand and if he says no tell him 1200 is the highest you can do..

Don't get me wrong I'd probably pay 15 for it, but that's only what he's asking so you know there's some wiggle room..

1200 is max id offer for it.

my friend just bought the same truck (other than it is a 94 with the other dash) with 127k for 700 cash. but it was purple. so that might be part of the reason he got it for cheap lol
