Re: 1988 Ford Ranger 2.0L
Welcome to FRF!!
My first suggestion is to play around with the site. Take a look at the dropdown menues and what the site has to offer. One of the best tools is the Search engine. I recommend that you use the Advanced Search option in the dropdown menu to plug in words and terms to do a lookup in the data. Try variants to the search inputs if the results aren't what you expected. "Clunk" might be better served with "Thumping sound", or the other way around. Experiment a bit and you should get dozens of hits. Also, read the many locked threads with things like "Getting Started" or "Read this First". Usually good information there to help get you started.
And as always, you can start a thread with your questions. Lots of very sharp folks here to help you out. You'll get to know a few by their names/handles that are particularly sharp. Get the input, but do your homework. Reading is essential, and doing it, can save you time and money.
Good luck!!
